The most common AK mag compatible SKSs that were converted to select fire rifles came out of the Bosnia/Kosovo/Balkans conflict but this video demonstrates why that was likely a bad idea.

The *extremely* high rate of fire makes is uncontrollable for most shooters and increases parts wear exponentially.
